Winner: Best Licensed Brand Property, UK Licensing Awards 2009

The Licensing Awards have become the accolades to strive for in the European licensing industry. They recognise the evolving world of licensing – across entertainment, brands, sport and celebrity properties. V&A won the highly prestigious award of Best Licensed Brand Property. The Award was made following a process of thousands of retailers and licensees asked to state which licensed properties have excelled over the previous year.

Winner: Best Licensed Brand Product – Soft Goods, UK Licensing Awards 2009

The UK Licensing Awards have become the accolades to strive for.  They recognise the evolving world of licensing across entertainment, brands, sport and celebrity properties.  In addition to the prize above, the V&A was awarded Best Licensed Brand Product for the Anemone range of bed linen from Bedeck

Winner: Silver Award for best new fragrance, The UK Beauty Awards 2009

The UK Beauty Awards acknowledge the industries best products, fragrances and organic products.
Nominated by Beauty PR agencies, shortlisted by editors and voted for by the public, these exciting awards celebrated the very best products in the industry. Short-listed by a team of leading beauty editors the winner was chosen by public vote on handbag.com.

V&A licensed 'Natural Couture Bergamot' fragrance achieved silver award for Best New Fragrance of the Year. The Gold Award went to Marc Jacobs, Daisy and the runner-ups were: Shiseido, Prada, John Galliano and Paco Rabanne. At a spectacular awards ceremony and fashion show on 29 May 2009 in London, the award was presented by Erin O’Connor to licensee Berkeley Square.

The V&A range of stunning fine bone china mugs were awarded Silver in the prestigious Housewares Magazine Awards 2009. The design of each mug was drawn from various sources including exotic far eastern silks, Japanese kimono and a woven jacquard fabric. Every product is presented in a unique gift box, including the history of the original design.

Highly Commended Gift of the Year 2009 Awards

The Gift of the Year Awards, in their 30th year in 2009, recognise and reward products of excellence within the industry and are organised by the Giftware Association. The awards recognise innovation, excellence in design, commercial viability and wow factor and are open to all UK gift and home related companies.

The V&A range of stunning fine bone china mugs were awarded Highly Commended in the Gift of the Year 2009 Awards in the Premium Luxury category. The design of each mug was drawn from various sources including exotic far eastern silks, Japanese kimono and a woven jacquard fabric. Every product is presented in a unique gift box, including the history of the original design.

The most popular mug designs have been developed into ranges of tableware and home textiles. There are now four stunning ranges of tableware featuring the designs Brocade, Brompton Rose, Victoria and Chinoiserie. Some are available as gift sets.
