Enamel boxes
Halcyon Days
Halcyon Days' enamels are incomparable collectors' items, both as tokens of taste and sentiment and as works of art. The collaboration with the V&A has resulted in beautiful commemorative gift boxes, inspired by historic events and the collections of the V&A. They include a famous miniature by Nicholas Hilliard of Elizabeth I, to mark the 450th anniversary of her accession to the throne and the 'Can-Can' Musical Box, based on a Toulouse-Lautrec poster, to mark the 150th anniversary of the high-kicking dance. Halcyon Days Enamels are the descendants of the rare and beautiful enamels of 18th-century England. The antique shop, Halcyon Days, situated in London's Mayfair, had for many years been one of the few international dealers to specialise in Georgian enamels and it was this London business which brought about the revival of the craft. Prized by discerning collectors worldwide, both as tokens of taste and sentiment and as works of art, they are destined to become the antiques of the future.
